As a premier chimney sweep in the Greater Pittsburgh PA area south to Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburgh WV, we have assisted many homeowners in and around these communities with chimney rebuilding services. Some of these have been smaller projects. Others have included a completely new chimney from the ground or roof up. No matter the size and scope of your project, our family-owned chimney company is here to help.
Chimney Repairs & Your Masonry
Our team is highly skilled and qualified to handle all types of chimney rebuilding projects. Each truck has a technician who has the necessary tools and knowledge to take care of anything they encounter. However, we often advise homeowners to tackle smaller chimney repairs before they lead to full-scale chimney rebuilding.
Full-Scale Chimney Rebuilding
We believe in providing fair and long-lasting solutions. It’s this commitment to integrity and customer service that has helped to make us a preferred chimney company in our region.
Sometimes necessary, a full-scale chimney rebuilding project is often a last resort type of recommendation. Often, decaying brick and mortar materials will lead to other problems such as leaks or structural compromise. When the damage to your chimney reaches a critical point, we’ll work with you on the best way to approach a chimney rebuilding project.
Our masonry team completes expert chimney repairs in Uniontown, Belle Vernon, Waynesburg, Greensburg, Washington, Monroeville, Bethel Park, Glenshaw, Cranberry, Wexford, Beaver Falls and throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburg, WV region and nearby communities.
Remember, there are several types of chimney masonry repairs we can complete as a form of preventative maintenance so that, hopefully, it doesn’t come down to this.
Crown Repair & Replacement
Your chimney crown also plays an important role in minimizing wear and tear with your masonry. If it's damaged, whether via weathering or another incident, it can’t do its job. Often, repairing your crown is a simple way to keep your bricks, mortar and chimney structure in optimal condition.
Fixing Your Firebox
Inside of your home is another masonry component to your chimney: your firebox. It needs to be cleaned and maintained as well. It may occasionally need more involved repairs, up to and including new firebrick, fixing gaps or rebuilding. But as always, we’ll work with our customers on preventative measures so that a situation like this is far less likely to happen to them.
Tuckpointing & Repointing Services
The first of those alternative methods of preventative maintenance is the closely related options of tuckpointing and repointing. With tuckpointing, our technicians will remove any damaged mortar joints and replace them with new ones. And with repointing, we fill cracks and gaps with new material. After both processes have fully set, we’ll then apply a layer of waterproofing to protect your chimney.
Working With A CSIA-Certified Chimney Sweep In PA & WV
We’re proud to be members of both the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) as well as the PA Chimney Sweep Guild. We carry all necessary licenses, certifications and insurance and provide ongoing training for each of our team members.
If you're seeing visible signs of deterioration on the outside of your chimney, or pieces of masonry, brick or terracotta tile at the bottom of your fireplace, you may need to discuss a chimney rebuilding project.
